A Trion man faces multiple felony charges after a violent altercation at an Everett Springs Road home, where he allegedly assaulted his wife, another woman, and a 62-year-old man while threatening to kill them.

Buddy DeWayne Langley, 48, was arrested by Floyd County authorities following the disturbing incident on Thursday. According to reports, Langley placed his hands around his wife’s throat and dragged her from one location to another before slapping her. Witnesses stated that Langley then turned his aggression toward a 62-year-old man at the residence, grabbing his throat in an attempted strangulation.

The violence continued as Langley reportedly grabbed another woman, shoving her backward. Authorities say he then lifted his shirt, implying he was armed, and threatened to kill both victims.

Langley has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of battery, battery family violence, kidnapping, terroristic threats/acts, and eight counts of cruelty to children.

Langley was booked into the Floyd County Jail.
