Michael “Casey” Brown has officially announced his candidacy for Mayor of the Town of Trion in the upcoming Municipal General Election, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Known locally as Casey Brown, his name will appear on the ballot as Michael Casey Brown.

A lifelong resident of Trion, Brown brings deep roots in the community and a strong vision for its future to his campaign. His platform emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a steadfast commitment to serving Trion families.

In a statement released Monday, Brown articulated his motivation for seeking the town’s highest office. “I am running for mayor because I believe our community has incredible potential, but we also face significant challenges that require immediate attention,” Brown said. “Over the past few years, I’ve seen firsthand the struggles many families are facing—ranging from local hotels connected to drug problems, to rising property taxes and utilities, and increasing concerns about homelessness in town.”

Brown elaborated on his core motivation: “My motivation comes from a desire to create a more inclusive and thriving community for everyone. I want Trion to be a place where all residents can access quality education, affordable and clean housing, and good jobs. As a lifelong resident, I understand the unique challenges our community faces. I am committed to listening to our citizens’ voices to address their needs better.”

Brown is dedicated to building a stronger, more connected community, committed to supporting growth that benefits all Trion families. He and his wife, Stefanie, reside in Trion.

Voting Information for the Trion Municipal Election:

Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Trion Recreation Center.
Voter Registration Deadline: Monday, October 6, 2025. Residents can register or check their voter status online at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov or by contacting the Chattooga County Registrar’s Office at 706-857-0739.
Absentee and Early Voting (In-Person):
Dates: Tuesday, October 14, through Friday, October 31, 2025.
Location: Trion Town Hall, 1220 Pine Street.
Hours (Weekdays): 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Advance Voting Saturdays: Saturday, October 18, and Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
