The Trion Middle School (TMS) Bulldogs have capped off a historic regular season with a perfect 6-0 record, securing an outright division title and earning a coveted spot in the North Georgia Athletic Conference (NGAC) football playoffs.

The Bulldogs sealed their undefeated run in dramatic fashion last week, grinding out a tough 23-20 victory over the formidable Saddle Ridge Mustangs. The win, highlighted by posts on the Trion City Schools Facebook page, showcased the team’s resilience and determination, particularly against a previously undefeated opponent eager to spoil their perfect season.

The close battle against Saddle Ridge proved to be the final hurdle for the Bulldogs. Saddle Ridge had battled Trion fiercely before ultimately dropping the narrow decision, which confirmed the Bulldogs’ status as outright division champions.

Playoff Bound

With the regular season trophy secured, the TMS Bulldogs are now shifting their focus to the post-season challenge. Their undefeated streak has earned them the opportunity to host the first round of the NGAC Playoffs.

The TMS Bulldogs will host Rossville next Tuesday, October 14th, at their home field. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Bulldogs as they begin their quest for the conference championship.

The NGAC playoffs are a single-elimination tournament, promising high-stakes action. Should the Bulldogs triumph in the first round, they will advance closer to the championship game.

The conference title game, which will crown the best middle school football team in the NGAC, is currently scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st.

Trion Middle School officials expressed pride in the team’s achievement, noting that the perfect regular season record sets a high standard for future TMS athletic programs. The entire Trion community is rallying behind the Bulldogs, hoping their perfect season momentum carries them all the way to the NGAC Championship.
