The Trion Bulldogs hosted Westbrook Christian of Rainbow City, Alabama on Friday night at Sam R. McCain Stadium, in a hard-fought contest that ultimately saw the Warriors emerge victorious in overtime with a final score of 35-28.

The atmosphere was electric as Trion battled Westbrook Christian, with both teams exchanging blows throughout the evening. The Bulldogs defense proved a formidable force, holding the Warriors to a tie score heading into the crucial overtime period. However, despite their resilience, Trion was unable to capitalize on their opportunities and secure the win.

The overtime loss marks a tough result for the Bulldogs, leaving their season record at three wins and four losses. The team will look to regroup and shake off this disappointment as they prepare for their next challenge.

It was the 300th win for Westbrook Christian head coach Steve Smith who formerly coached at Cedar Bluff and Piedmont.

Next week, Trion will embark on a significant road trip, traveling approximately two and a half hours to Meriwether County to face off against Greenville. The Bulldogs will be seeking to improve their standing and get back on the winning track in this away game.
