In November 2025, Chattooga County will once again set aside time to express its profound gratitude to those who have served, with the annual Veterans Day Luncheon serving as a focal point for community and commemoration. This year’s event, scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM, promises a special tribute to Vietnam War era veterans, in addition to honoring all local servicemen and women.

The gathering will take place at the Chattooga County Memorial Home, a venue that has become a traditional home for this meaningful observance. All veterans and their families are warmly invited to attend and be part of this day of recognition and fellowship.

This year’s luncheon is made possible through the generous support of community partners including VFW Post 6688 and United Community Bank, whose contributions underscore the community’s commitment to its veterans.

A significant highlight of the 2025 event will be a special recognition ceremony dedicated to Vietnam veterans. These servicemen and women, who often returned home without the full measure of appreciation they deserved, will be presented with commemorative certificates and pins as a token of the county’s deep respect and acknowledgment of their sacrifices.

Following the special recognition, attendees will share in a communal meal, providing an opportunity for veterans to connect with one another and with the community members who wish to express their thanks. Organizers encourage attendees to arrive early to allow ample time for socializing and for connecting with fellow veterans and supporters.
