Chattooga County voters overwhelmingly approved both the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST) and the Fire/EMS Local Option Sales Tax (FLOST) referendums in Tuesday’s elections, signaling a strong commitment to the county’s infrastructure, public safety, and overall quality of life, according to Sole Commissioner Andy Allen.

The T-SPLOST, a voter-approved sales tax dedicated to transportation projects, is expected to significantly bolster the county’s efforts to address aging roads and bridges.
