
The Trion High School Softball team is celebrating a wave of prestigious accolades, with numerous players earning Region 7 A-II All-Region honors and Head Coach Trent Stamey being named Region Coach of the Year. The exceptional performance underscores the talent and dedication within the Lady Dawgs’ program.
The team’s impressive showing was highlighted by sophomore Hartley Staton, who was recognized as the Region 7 A-II Pitcher of the Year. Staton’s dominant presence in the circle was a key factor in Trion’s success throughout the season.
Five Lady Dawgs earned First Team All-Region distinctions, showcasing their excellence across various positions. These honorees include:
- Addison Wilson (Utility/DP)
- Riley Manscill (Outfield)
- Caity Delay (Catcher)
- Abbi Wheat (Infield)
- Ella Ray (Infield)
Further demonstrating the depth of the team, four Trion players were named to the Second Team All-Region:
- Nevaeh Lowe (Outfield)
- Zoi Phillips (Infield)
- Averie Gable (Outfield)
- Stella Morrison (Infield)
The widespread recognition culminates with Head Coach Trent Stamey receiving the coveted Region Coach of the Year award. His leadership and strategic guidance were instrumental in molding a successful team and fostering individual player growth.
“Congratulations to the players earning All-Region honors! Our team was well-represented with all region coaches selecting these players for recognition,” a statement from the Trion High School Softball program read. “We are so proud of each and every player on this year’s team!
