The Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation is joining forces with local community organizations for a significant effort to combat food insecurity in North Georgia. The collaborative event, titled “Helping Hands End Hunger,” will host a free food distribution sponsored by the Teloga community.

The drive-thru distribution is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, and aims to provide essential groceries and fresh produce to families in need on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Addressing immediate community needs, like access to nutritious food, is central to our mission of improving overall public health,” said a spokesperson for the Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation. “This event is a testament to what can be achieved when dedicated health care providers and passionate local volunteers work together.”

A Community-Wide Effort

This ambitious distribution relies heavily on the collaboration of key local groups, demonstrating robust community unity. The initiative is sponsored primarily by the Teloga Community, with crucial logistical and resource support provided by:

  • Teloga Fire Department: Assisting with traffic control and logistics.
  • Teloga Springs Farm: Contributing resources and coordination.
  • Beersheba Presbyterian Church: Serving as the central distribution site.

The organizers anticipate serving hundreds of families during the limited time frame.
