A traffic stop on Lake Wanda Reita Road resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old man on multiple driving violations, according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

A Chattooga County Deputy reported that on November 14 he observed a white Honda Civic, displaying tag TEA7468, traveling slowly and failing to stop at a railroad crossing stop sign. After activating his lights and siren, the deputy said the driver motioned for him to follow as he continued driving.

The vehicle eventually stopped on Lake Wanda Reita Road near Maplewood. The driver, identified as Trey Austin Parker, reportedly told the deputy he did not have a driver’s license. The deputy also discovered the vehicle was not properly registered and appeared to have been sold without the title being transferred.

A female passenger told the deputy she believed Parker’s suspended license had been reinstated and agreed to take custody of the vehicle. Dispatch later confirmed Parker’s license was still suspended.

Parker was taken into custody and transported to the Chattooga County Jail. He was charged with:

  • Driving while license suspended or revoked (misdemeanor)

  • Operating a motor vehicle without registration

  • Operating a vehicle without insurance

The deputy noted that Parker was also served with outstanding fines related to his suspended license status.
