An Armuchee man has been arrested in connection with a late November incident in which he allegedly fled from a traffic stop at high speeds and escaped officers by driving over large rocks in an undeveloped subdivision, according to reports.
The incident occurred on November 30, when the driver reportedly sped away from a traffic stop for speeding and used rough terrain in a nearby undeveloped subdivision to evade pursuing officers.
According to Floyd County Jail reports, 38-year-old Roger Dewayne Callahan has been charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude police. He also faces several misdemeanor charges, including speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, failure to maintain lane and running a stop sign.
Callahan remained in the Floyd County Jail without bond as of Friday.
