The Summerville Police Department is investigating a report of vehicle damage stemming from an apparent hit-and-run incident last week.

According to an incident report, an officer met with Ms. Bridges at the police department on December 17, 2025, regarding damage to her vehicle that occurred around 10:50 p.m. on December 16. Ms. Bridges reported that while turning onto East Washington Street from Rome Boulevard, another vehicle struck her car.

The impact shattered the driver-side mirror, and the other vehicle reportedly left the scene before it could be identified. Ms. Bridges told officers she has contacted her insurance company, which advised her to obtain a written police report documenting the incident.
