Rome will ring in 2026 with a sky full of color as Atrium Health Floyd + Harbin Clinic and Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation partner to present a New Year’s Eve Fireworks Extravaganza.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year Atrium Health Floyd has presented the community celebration, and it’s also the first New Year’s Eve fireworks event since Harbin Clinic joined the festivities through its strategic combination with Atrium Health Floyd.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be launched from Jackson Hill, giving residents across Rome a prime view of the display. Organizers say more than 800 shells will be fired, featuring a variety of fireworks supplied by Zambelli Fireworks, the same company that has handled Rome’s Independence Day shows in recent years.
“This will be a great way to welcome 2026,” said Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Director Todd Wofford, who also highlighted the ongoing partnership behind several major community events throughout the year.
In addition to New Year’s Eve, the groups collaborate on the July Fourth Fireworks and Patriotic Party at Ridge Ferry Park, the Leprechaun-a-thon 5K Road Race and Health Walk in March, and October’s Paper Doll Parade and Breast Cancer Awareness 5K.
“We appreciate our relationship with Atrium Health Floyd and Harbin Clinic,” Wofford said. “They have allowed us to make these events even bigger and better. It’s a great thing for Rome and Floyd County.”
