Mohawk Industries is holding a hiring event happening today (Thursday, January 8) for job opportunities at its Summerville manufacturing facility. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trion Recreation Department, located at 90 Dalton Street.

Mohawk officials say immediate openings are available for Waste Handlers, Extrusion Operators, Sorters, and Lift Truck Operators. A 12-hour night swing shift is currently offered from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with starting pay ranging from $16.35 to $21 per hour, based on position and experience. Previous experience is required for Extrusion Operator roles.

The company says it is offering a full benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, a comprehensive training program, and up to 80 hours of paid time off.

Applicants are asked to dress for the work environment — long pants, a short- or long-sleeve shirt, and tennis shoes or work boots. Due to safety requirements, no jewelry, piercings, hoodies, or jackets with hoods are allowed, and long hair must be pulled up. Candidates should also bring two forms of identification.
