The Chattooga County Board of Education is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a full-time General Mechanic position.

The job is a benefit-eligible, 194-day position that works 12 months per year and may require regular overtime. Pay ranges from $16.18 to $24.04 per hour, based on experience.

Applicants must have at least a high school diploma or GED and must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid Class B CDL with S&P endorsement. The CDL requirement must be met within 30 days of employment, or as scheduling permits.

To be considered, applications must include a completed application (resume may be attached), proof of diploma/GED, completed reference forms, and authorization/consent for a background check and fingerprinting.
