Early voting is underway in the special elections to fill the 53rd Senate District seat in the Georgia General Assembly and the race for the 14th Congressional District in the U.S. Congress.

Several hundred voters have already cast their ballots according to the Chattooga County Registrars Office.  All early voting in Chattooga County takes place at the Chattooga County Registrars Office located at 10017 Commerce Street in Summerville. Weekday hours are 8:30 AM until 5 PM.  Tomorrow, Saturday, February 21st, voters will have the opportunity for weekend voting.  The hours for Saturday voting are from 9 AM until 5 PM.  Saturday voting will also take place next Saturday, February 28th.

The last chance to request an absentee ballot is February 27th.

The Chattooga County Registrars Office reminds voters to have your valid government issued photo ID ready when you come to vote.
