The Walker County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular scheduled meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Walker County Courthouse Annex III in LaFayette.
Among the items on the agenda are several planning and zoning requests, including partial rezones and variances for properties in Trion, LaFayette and Rising Fawn. The Planning Commission has recommended approval for each of the listed rezoning and variance requests as submitted.
Commissioners are also expected to consider multiple contract awards, including:

A contract with WLA Studios for Phase 2 of the Walker County Historic Resource Survey

A contract with Hasbun Construction, LLC for the Ivy Street Culvert Replacement

A contract for repairs to the Walker County Fleet & Public Works Facility

A contract for right-of-way weed control
In addition, the board will consider budget amendments for Fiscal Year 2025 and a memorandum of understanding regarding the disposition of certain real property in Rossville.
The agenda also includes amendments to the county’s Equal Opportunity Employment Policy and Employee PTO Policy under the consent agenda.
The meeting will include public comment and a public hearing related to planning and zoning matters.
