Chattooga County Commissioner Andy Allen has announced several bids awarded after last Friday’s bid deadline, covering equipment purchases and facility improvements across the county.

Among the approved bids are two new Ford trucks with service bodies for county use. The winning bids were awarded to Prater Ford for a F-250 with Knapheide body, totaling $66,890 and Courtesy Ford was awarded the bid for a F-550 with a Knapehied body for $89,830.

The county also awarded a contract for a new roof at the Sheriff’s Office, with the lowest bid coming from Allstar Roofing at $47,277.

In addition, bids were approved for two pole barns at the Chattooga County Public Works Department. The contract was awarded to TC Ag Services, with costs listed at $9,600 for a one building and $18,600 for another building.

County officials noted that the selected bids offered cost-effective solutions while meeting project requirements.
