Young artists across Chattooga County are invited to showcase their creativity as the Friends of the Chattooga County Library announce their 2026 T-shirt and bag design contest.
The contest is open to children ages 6 to 13, giving them a chance to have their artwork featured on the official Friends of the Library bag and T-shirt.
Participants are asked to submit original artwork only, with no clipart or AI-generated designs allowed. Entries must be created using a fine-point black Sharpie on standard 8.5 by 11-inch paper, with no shading or coloring.
Designs should reflect what participants love about their local library or tie into the 2026 Summer Reading Program theme, “Unearth a Story.”
All submissions must be turned in person at either the Chattooga Library or the Trion Library.
The deadline to enter is April 10, 2026.
Organizers say they are excited to see the creativity from local youth and encourage all eligible students to participate.
