The Hays State Prison inmate who reportedly stabbed two guards , has now been charged in the case. 29 – year old Brian Dukes was serving a life sentence for murder. He is alleged to have stabbed guards Eric Gilreath and Forrest Simpson with "a sharpened piece of metal ," both recovered from their injuries . Dukes has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assualt for the February prison attack.
