The City of Summerville will open bids tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, for planned renovations to restroom and changing room facilities at the Summerville Recreation Department.
The project, identified as RFB-2026-137 – Rec Restroom Renovation, calls for renovations to the existing boys’ and girls’ restroom and changing room facilities at the Recreation Department, located at 220 Highway 100 in Summerville.
The city began seeking bids for the project in August. Since then, two addendums have been issued as contractors sought additional information about the work. The first was revised August 26, and the second was issued September 3 with answers to additional questions concerning the project.
The restroom work is one of several improvement projects undertaken recently at the Summerville Recreation Department. The city has also been working on other recreation improvements, including the new splash pad currently under construction at the Highway 100 complex.
Contractors interested in the restroom project have until 2 PM tomorrow to submit sealed bids to Summerville City Hall, 120 Georgia Avenue.
The bids will be opened publicly at 2 PM Wednesday in the City Hall Council Room, and the contents of each bid received will be available to interested persons. Submitted bids must remain valid for 60 days.
The original bid documents and both subsequent addendums have been made available by the City of Summerville.
