
Chattooga County residents who want to vote in the November 3 General Election have until Monday, October 5, to register to vote or update their voter registration information.
The deadline applies to eligible residents registering for the first time as well as voters who need to update their address or other registration information.
Voters can check their registration through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page, which also provides polling-place information and sample ballots. Eligible Georgians may register online with a valid Georgia driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
Monday also marks the first day county registrars may begin mailing regular absentee ballots for the November election.
Advance voting begins Tuesday, October 13, and continues through Friday, October 30. Georgia requires advance voting on Saturday, October 17, and Saturday, October 24. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
Chattooga County voters will be deciding federal and state races along with local questions appearing on the November ballot.
