The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide programs and services for older adults and caregivers throughout Northwest Georgia, including Chattooga County.

The agency is requesting proposals for services covering the period from July 1, 2027, through June 2028. Organizations may submit proposals to provide services in one or more counties.

The programs being requested include Case Management Brokering, Falls Prevention: A Matter of Balance, Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention, and Powerful Tools for Caregivers.

These programs are designed to support older residents and their caregivers by helping seniors maintain independence, reduce their risk of falling and access assistance with everyday challenges.

In addition to Chattooga County, the service area includes Bartow, Catoosa, Dade, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker and Whitfield counties.

Contracts will be contingent upon the agency receiving applicable funding from the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services.

Organizations interested in submitting proposals must request a proposal packet from Lynne Reeves, Director of the Northwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging.

Requests may be made by emailing lreeves@nwgrc.gov or calling 1-800-759-2963.

Interested organizations should specify which programs they wish to provide. Proposal packets will be emailed to interested organizations on or about October 19, 2026.

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technicalities or minor irregularities.

The agency says proposals will be evaluated based on the best interests of the Northwest Georgia Regional Commission.
