A fundraiser for a teenager with Muscular Dystrophy is set for 6 p.m. May 19 at the Trion Recreation Center and will feature several musical performers.
 
 17-year old  Casey Beene  suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. The Trion First Baptist recently purchased a van for Beene and the proceeds will go toward payment on the van. According to Beene's grandmother, the van has given him a "whole new life." 
 
The church is selling raffle tickets on a football signed by Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban, a football signed by Georgia quarterback David Greene and a mini helmet signed by former Florida State Coach Bobby Bowdon.Tickets are being sold by community members and will be available at the recreation center on May 19.
 
There will be a $5 cover charge for the concert Those singing include: Music City Brass, Jimmy Collins, Shawn Majors, Marilyn Nunn, Michael Lee Stancil, Ashlan Godfrey, Louise Godfrey, Morning Star and Mary Jones and Suzanne. There will be inflatable jumping gym outside and games for children.
