Trion officials are shooting for May 21 to open its municipal swimming pool to the public. That according to Recreation Director Nolan Crisp. 

 

Between now and then the town is adding new handicapped accessible equipment required  by the American's With Disabilities Act. The council approved the new equipment at it's last meeting. The equipment is required and cannot be opened until it is installed.

 

The cost to swim is $3 per person per day. But for those swimming enthusiasts, the recreation center has a special discount in the form of a  year-long swimming pass. The passes  are available at the recreation center. Call 706-734-2011 for more details.
