A 21-year-old woman charged with taking drugs across guard lines at Hays State Prison on Saturday. According to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Report, an officer at the prison reportedly took a clear bag with several different colored plastic balloons believed to be marijuana from Mia Wheeler, when Wheeler came to visit her brother who is an inmate at the prison. According to the report, Wheeler showed signs of being under the influence and when asked she said he had smoked marijuana earlier in the day. When asked if she had anything else on her person or in her vehicle, she reported said there was more weed in the console of her car and gave officers permission to search her vehicle. Upon opening the passenger front door to search the vehicle officers reportedly smelled a strong odor of Marijuana. In the vehicle console was reportedly found a silver container that contained what is believed to be Marijuana. In Wheeler's purse officers reportedly found a pill bottle residue believed to be Marijuana. Ms Wheeler was placed under arrest and transported to Chattooga County Jail. Wheeler was charged with felony possession manufacture, sale, purchase of marijuana.
