The Georgia Bureau of Investigation in Chattooga County today looking into the assault of a Back Penn road woman at her home.

The woman was assaulted Tuesday afternoon when an unknown man thought to be in his 40s knocked on her door and asked to use her phone and she let him inside. The man reportedly put on a pair of gloves before attacking the woman, trying to remove her clothing and then trying to stab her.

The suspect is described as approximately 40-years-old, five-feet, nine inches tall, about 200 pounds with short dark hair and well groomed. He has a scar on the left side of his neck , has very light facial hair and is soft spoken. He reportedly was wearing a dark blue tee-shirt and khaki pants.

There reportedly are no suspects at this time.
