The Trion Bulldogs improved to 2-0 on the season and claimed the 500th win for the program with a win over La Fayette Friday night, with a final of score Trion 31-6. The lone points for the Ramblers came on a Bulldog fumble that was returned for a touchdown. The Dawgs blocked the extra point and cruised home with a big win.

Chattooga did not fair as well against Heard County. After opening the game with a touchdown, Chattooga was held scoreless until late in the third quarter. Heard County scored 47 to win 47-12 over the Indians.
