At least two Chattooga County residents aren't happy with youngsters playing with BB guns and have reported damage to local law enforcement authorities.

According to a report filed on Sunday, General William Miller of Davis Road, Trion, told officers on Sunday that earlier in the day he was sitting inside his trailer and saw a juvenile shoot a BB gun towards it. He said immediately afterward his front door window was hit by something and had a BB size hole in it. The deputy confronted juvenile, a neighbor of Millers, about the incident and the juvenile said he was shooting at Miller's dog who had been sitting in the road. He said his sister hit his arm when he shot and he heard the shot strike something metal. The youngster said he ran away. According to the report, the youngster's stepmother said she didn't think the boy's shot hit or damaged the window and she didn't feel like she had to replace it. The deputy advised Miller of his legal and civil remedies.

Also on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a South 3rd Street, Summerville, home in reference to holes shot in a window. Nina Ledford told officers that the windows were cracked on both sides and she had seen children in the area with BB guns.
