The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is observing National Hunting and Fishing Day Saturday and two events will be in Chatttooga County.

Outdoor Adventure Day at Sloppy Floyd State Park will include fishing, archery, a BB gun range, laser shot, canoeing, a climbing wall and animal displays. The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Admission is free with a $5 parking pass.

The Summerville Fish Hatchery will host a Kids Fishing Event from 8 a.m. to Noon Saturday. Participants need to bring their own fishing gear and adult supervision is required.
