Fort Payne, Alabama, has been named among the 25 Best Places to Retire by Money Magazine. Tucked between Lookout and Sand Mountain, Fort Payne was the magazine's 21st Best Place to Retire Choice. Cited was low housing costs, taxes and crime rates, along with mild climate, beautiful scenery and small town appeal.
