The Trion Bulldogs rolled in a big way on Homecoming night at Sam R. McCain Stadium, defeating the visiting Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors 65-6.  Trion scored 9 touchdowns on the evening with 5 of those scores coming in the 1st quarter alone.  In all, 8 different players reached the end zone for the Dawgs.

Trion would waste no time in getting on the scoreboard.  On the first play from scrimmage, Senior RB Luke Gilliland would race 65 yards for a Bulldog touchdown and Kingston Lanier converted the 2 point conversion to give the Dawgs an 8-0 lead.  With 9:24 left to go in the 1st quarter, Trion would strike again via a 20 yard touchdown run from Scotty Lively and Isaac Thomas would catch a fade pattern from QB Jared Witt on the 2 point conversion to make it 16-0.  Three and a half minutes later, Kingston Lanier scored from 18 yards out and Jared Witt converted the 2 point conversion again to give Trion a 24-0 lead.  Two and half minutes later, Luke Gilliland scored his second TD of the night, this time from 20 yards out to give the Bulldogs a 31-0 lead.  Just 45 seconds later with 2:33 left in the opening quarter, McCord Hood would cap the scoring in the first quarter with a 26 yard TD run to give the Dawgs a 38-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.

Other Bulldogs scoring TD's on the night were Brian Wilson with a 16 yard run, Devonya Farmer with a 27 yard run, Griffin Floyd with a 5 yard run, and Jordan Coker with a 4 yard run.  Trion moves to 5-2 on the season and 1-2 in region play.  The Bulldogs will play their 3rd home game of the season next Friday night in a huge rivalry game with Gordon Lee.
