A large amount of change was reported stolen from a Maplewood Drive apartment. According to the report from the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office, the couple who lived there was not at home but there was a man at their apartment when a juvenile knocked on the door and asked to come inside. When let inside the juvenile reportedly asked to borrow some cheese and was told to come back when the occupants were home. The $140 in change reportedly was on a nightstand in a bedroom visible from the front door. The man at the apartment said he couldn't see if the juvenile entered the bedroom or not from where he was sitting. Officers were allowed to look around the juvenile's apartment for the money and found no large amounts of change. Witnesses say they saw nothing in the girl's hand when she left the apartment. The apartment dwellers were informed of Magistrate Court procedure.
