As of 11:30 around 430 people had voted at Chattooga County's largest precinct located in Summerville.  Over 2400 people have already voted early in this year's election.  The candidates gathered across the street from the civic center were dealing with chilly temperatures this morning.  A power outage affected voting for a short period of time today.  Poll workers at the Summerville Precinct told AM 1180 that voting had been steady, but that they hoped for a larger turnout.  Commissioner Jason Winters who is running as a Democrat for re-election said that he enjoyed the opportunity to greet people coming to vote today.  His challenger Dewayne Dawson, the Republican candidate is standing next to his competitor on Highway 48, the two are personal friends.  Dawson and his wife voted at the Summerville Precinct this morning.
