Police have arrested Laura Ann Payne and her boyfriend Edward Eugene Gaines, in the murder of Payne`s father, Jozell Payne, 76, at his Callier Springs Road home. Police tracked the duo to Detroit, Michigan where they were taken into custody by the US Marshall`s Service.

They will be extradited back to Rome.

Jozell was found dead by police at his home on October 18 as officers were on a welfare check. After no one came to the door they forced their way in the home and discovered the body.
