According to the Trion Police Department on Wednesday night someone caused damage to a number of mailboxes in the Trion area.

Several of the damaged boxes were inside the city of Trion. While some damage was minor, some boxes were completely destroyed. The trail of damage extends into the county with numerous other boxes damaged.

The Trion Police Department expects these acts to have been committed by two or more minors driving a vehicle and striking the boxes with a pole or baseball bat.
