The owner of a Highway 27 property reported to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department last week that an air conditioning unit was gutted back in October or November. According to the report, filed January 24, the building was being used as an Hispanic church. Reportedly early in November someone at the church tried to turn on the central air unit and it didn't come on. They reportedly went outside and found the insides of the unit were missing. The owner of the property said she thought a   report had been filed in November when the incident was discovered, but it hadn't. The theft is reported to have occurred to sometime in October or November.
