A Butler Dairy Road man reported that his US Postal Service retirement check was stolen from his mailbox on Friday, Feburary 1. He was advised by Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies to have the check cancelled. He said he had seen two men with black sweat shirts and blue jeans walking down the street around 11 a.m. that morning. The mail carrier told him that she had put the retirment check in his mailbox between 10:30 and 10:45.
