It has been confirmed that a fourth Inmate from Hays State prison has been killed.
State investigators have confirmed that an inmate was killed today at the high maximum security prison in Jackson.
Officials have not confirmed who the inmate is, but AM1180 sources say the inmate had just been transferred from Hays State Prison and was reportedly killed by another transferring Hays inmate.
The inmate was the fourth from Hays killed in a rash of violence that stretches back to December.
Sources indicate the inmate was killed inside the transfer yard at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification prison. The inmates had just been transported to Jackson this morning from Pennville.
The Diagnostic and Classification Prison is where close security and death penalty prisoners go, as well as inmates about to be transferred to another prison in Georgia.
