A Summerville man who reportedly went t to jail without his pants on Thursday has been charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of officers.
Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the Spring Creek Road home of Phil Whitton in reference to a domestic dispute. Officers reportedly found Whitton in bed, awake, but Whitton told them he was trying to go to sleep.
Whitton reportedly told officers he had consumed liquor and kept putting his hands under the sheets even though officers told him to keep his hands visible. Whitton reportedly was uncoperative and screamed profanity at the officers. He also refused to put on his pants and shoes before being transported to the Chattooga County Jail, according to the report. He also is alleged to have kicked and screamed profanity at officers during the entire trip from his home to the jail, according to the report.
