The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has identified a Kingsland man as the shooter in an apparent murder and suicide Thursday morning at Barnsley Gardens resort.

Authorities say that 42-year-old Robert Wade Brazell shot and killed Angela Player, 37, of Cartersville early Thursday morning. The two were recently divorced in January 2013.

Brazell fled into the woods near the resort after the shooting and authorities say he killed himself.
