A local women reportedly was the victim of an internet scam that she reported to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Office on Friday.

 

According to the woman she had been using a web site on the internet to get babysitting jobs . She told deputies she received a check in the amount of #2,950 from  Congregation Rodeph Sholom. She said she also received a message to send $1500 of that money to a man named Stanley in Ohio through Western Union. The women reportedly sent the $1500 and the $126 transfer fee to the man.
