A man checking on a cell tower on March 29, reported that it had been damaged. Michael Nicolson told Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies that when he checked on the Highway 27 cell tower that the lock at the entry was unlocked, a bus bar was damaged, and 10 copper cables connected to it had been cut. The tower reportedly is the property of T-Mobile. The damage occurred sometime between January 29 and March 29, according to the report.
