The investigation continues into a Trion man’s apparent murder in Cherokee County, Alabama on April 2.  This week a memorial service was held for Vincent Edward Hughes who had been found shot on Lookout Mountain in Cherokee County.  Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says that his investigators have detained several persons of interest and that they have interviewed several in connection with the investigation.  The sheriff is seeking any information that the public may have.  If you have information that might be of interest to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department you can call them at 256-997-999 or contact them on their website.
