A 2-year-old was bitten by a dog Friday.

 

According to the Sheriff's Department report, the boy, who lives on Railroad Circle, was bitten by a small black dog that belongs to a neighbor. The child had a red swollen area with what appeared to be bite marks on its back, the report indicated.

 

Medic units responded to check the child's injuries and Chattooga County Animal Control responded to check on the dog and speak to the dog's owner.
