A Cedartown man and a Rome woman who were in Boston for the Boston Marathon on Monday were both unharmed in the explosion that rocked the end of the race.

Alexis Headrix, of Rome, was competing in the marathon. She and her family reportedly also were unharmed.  

Twenty-three people are injured and two have been confirmed dead by Boston Law Enforcement officials, after two explosions wrought devastation to the finish-line of the Boston Marathon. 
 
According to ABC News, the bombings were 15 seconds apart at the end of the 26.2 mile race, and local law enforcement say they have discovered three more suspicious devices in the area. Janet Woo, a reporter out of Boston, witnessed the explosion.
