According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators have been busy traveling between Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee interviewing persons acquainted with suspected murder victim Vincent Edward Hughes, 52 of Trion. Several persons of interest have been detained and are being interviewed
Hughes’ body was discovered April 2nd.
Search warrants have been obtained in an attempt to locate evidence related to this case.
