Flooded roads are a concern this afternoon in Chattooga County.  An excessive amount of rain has fallen since Saturday and a flood warning was issued Sunday afternoon by the National Weather Service for Chattooga County.

Chattooga County Roads and Bridge Director Joe Reed said many of the usual spots are under water, but cautions that there is standing water on virtually every road in the county.  Reed said that the county ran out of signs and sign stands to warn people of flooding and urges drivers to use extra caution as they travel around the county this evening.

Some of the worst hit areas include:

Spring Creek Road

Butler Dairy Road

Hair Lake Road

Williams Road

Beaver Road

Buck Gardner Road

Once again, if you are traveling in Chattooga County use extra caution and be on the lookout for standing water especially in low-lying areas.
