Chattooga County deputies pulled over a semi truck in Menlo this morning after the truck ran the four way stop at the intersection of Highway 48 and Highway 337. Sheriff Mark Schrader said that deputies pulled the truck over after it ran the stop sign and nearly struck a couple of vehicles. The truck was pulling a van trailer full of cotton headed to Mount Vernon Mills in Trion from somewhere in Tennessee. The driver told deputies that he came off of Lookout Mountain and had no brakes when he got to the four way stop. Sheriff Schrader said that deputies were writing the man tickets for running the stop sign and for improper lane usage. The deputies called the Georgia D.O.T. to the scene as well.
