Two Chattooga County men got into an altercation on Woodhaven Drive in Summerville, near Floyd Urgent Care, on Monday over a stolen chainsaw. According to a report released yesterday, one of the men wound up in jail on theft charges.
The two men met up on Woodhaven Drive on Monday and began to argue about the chainsaw, which had been reported stolen on October 16th from a Rose Circle address. Law enforcement arrived on the scene and arrested forty-year old James William McCollough of Rose Circle in Trion. McCullough had said that he was going to a pawn shop in Rome to retrieve the chain saw to make the situation right, but instead was transported to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of theft by taking.
The investigation into the theft is still ongoing according to the sheriff's department.
