– FCCLA Members earned medals last week at a leadership conference in Athens, GA. Joy Campbell won a bronze medal in the area of Interpersonal Communications. A team composed of Summer Jones, Abbey Tudor, and Alanna Lanier won a silver medal.

 

– The JV Indians baseball team defeated Excel in a double header on Monday. The team also defeated LaFeyette and Trion in a tournament played last Saturday.

 

– CHS Varsity baseball will play on Thursday, April 3rd at home against Murray County. The game begins at 5:30 PM

 

– Several members of SKILLS USA competed for region titles and came out winners a few weeks ago. Brandon Pope, Johnny Smith, and TJ Middleton competed in different areas of construction and each won 2nd place. Cole Moore competed in a welding event and also took home 2nd place.

 

 – The Chattooga Athletic Boosters are sponsoring the Chattooga Tribe Challenge 5k Road Race and 1 or 2 mile Health Walk on April 26. The Road Race will begin at 8:30 AM and the Health Walk will begin at 8:35 AM at Dowdy Park. Awards will be given to male and female winners in each age category and for the overall winners. Students and employees of Chattooga County Schools can pre-register at the school for $10.00 through March 28. Be sure to indicate your school at the top of the registration form. All other pre-registrations are $20.00 and on-site registrations are $25.00

 

– Seniors will be ordering caps and gowns for graduation on May 1st. The fee is $50.00

 

– Next week is Spring Break for Chattooga County Schools. School will resume on Tuesday, April 8th.
